What We've Been Up To

We sometimes get asked by people what we stay busy with. I think they assume that we are only at MECO7 during store hours and then we go home at five. But the truth is, it's the time when the store is closed that most of the magic happens, like our custom work for framing and commissioned furniture pieces. Recently, we had a request from Stacy, one of the new owners of Captain's Bar & Grill (formerly Torgy's) in Long Beach. He was looking for pieces to decorate the new restaurant and bar to give it an updated style.

After a little measuring, sawing and painting, we were able to bring in a fun new look for the space with a variety of handmade elements including two custom frames, a surfboard coat-rack, two benches for Captain's front entry and a rope divider to help separate their bar and dining area. We also found additional wall decor to help bring the whole look together. Take a peek at a few of the items we put together below:

We highly recommend taking an evening to experience Captain's Bar & Grill. Their specialty drink menu fits the theme, with the First Mate being one of our favorites. The deep fried ravioli with homemade marinara sauce is also a must! Try Captain's for yourself and let us know what your favorites are too!
